If your district is putting together its Opening Day(s) Professional Development activities (or thinking ahead for other pd days), after my retirement I will be presenting workshops for BER (Bureau of Education and Research).  Besides its statewide/regional offerings, BER also provides on-site pd.  I do a 6.5 hour presentation on the best YA (grades 6-12) books of the past five years, appropriate for library staff and ELA.  Reviews from New York and California workshops were very, very good.
