[CASL-L] BookExpo early bird pricing ends this Friday

Hello everyone,

If you are toying with the idea of going to BookExpo (May 30 – June 1 in NYC), now is the time to register. Early bird pricing ends this Friday, 5/11. Beginning on Saturday, prices go from $100 to $150 for a single day, and from $150 to $225 for a 3-day pass. CLC members save $20 off these rates no matter when you register, but why wait? CLC also offers convenient round-trip bus transportation on Thursday and Friday from a variety of Connecticut stops for just $20 for CLC members, $30 for non-members. Even if you are along the Metro-North rail line, you can save the hassle of a cab or a subway between Grand Central and the Javits Center, especially on the way home when you are laden down with goodies!

Can’t decide which day to go?

  *   The “show floor” is open on Thursday and Friday, but not on Wednesday (hence, no CLC bus on Wednesday). Hundreds of authors will be autographing books on the show floor on Thursday and Friday – here’s the list<http://www.bookexpoamerica.com/en/Author-Appearances/Autographing-Sessions/>.
  *   Many librarians go to BookExpo just for the show floor, but there are also quite a few programs, including “Book Buzz” panels featuring editors talking about their most exciting new releases.   *   Northeast corner of the state? You’ll want to take our Thursday bus from Manchester. Southeast? Friday from Groton (hurry – just 4 seats left!). Anywhere else? Either day from either North Haven or Westport.
