[CASL-L] Book Recommendations Needed

Hello Fellow Book Lovers!

I have a 4th grade teacher who is looking for book suggestions for one of
her students.  She would like to find books that have a multicultural cast
of characters, could be main character, ok if not.  However, she is looking
for books that are not necessarily inner-city settings.

As I reread this request, please know we are trying to serve a population
of suburban/rural students who find it difficult to relate to an inner-city
setting.  No disrespect intended!!

Finally, this is a student reading between a 3rd and 4th grade level.
