[CASL-L] HS Library Computer Lab - 1-to-1 Chromebooks

Hi Michele,

We are 1 to 1. At our high school, we still maintain a computer lab/area.
Right now we are down to 23 working computers. Students use them to print
(since they can't print from their chromebooks) and they help support
students that may need them for certain programs they cannot use on their
chromebooks. The technology classes have desktops for these programs, but
sometimes kids come up during their study halls or after school (if the
tech rooms are locked). Students also use them when they don't have their
chromebooks and teachers send them with a pass to do work. We plan on
keeping the computers as they still get enough use. The only drawback is
that they are old, running slow and takes a long time for students to log
in. Money has been an issue for upgrading, but I believe we plan on
replacing them with newer ones if/when money is available in the future.

Respectfully,
