[CASL-L] cataloging yearbooks

Mine are catalogued and barcoded. Our school was established in 1905 and one copy of each yearbook are catalogued as artifacts and don’t circulate.
If someone needs a yearbook that is catalogued as an artifact they have to use it in my office.

We have two or three copies of yearbooks from the 1980s – present so those duplicates are catalogued as reference books and circulate for seven days.

Good morning,

Many people borrow our school yearbooks.  They are not allowed to leave the building but because yearbook club, security, etc. need them for reference, we sometimes have a difficult time tracking them down.  We have only one copy of each year and we feel it would be best to formally barcode the yearbooks, as they are irreplaceable artifacts for our school.

Has anyone added theirs to Destiny? How would you categorize them? (resource? artifact?)

Looking for suggestions.
