Hi there,

I'm an ISTE <https://www.iste.org/> affiliate for CECA
<https://sites.google.com/cecact.org/ceca>, CT Educator's Computer
Association (a nonprofit professional organization interested in promoting
the effective use of educational technology throughout Connecticut’s
institutions of learning.)

ISTE asked if affiliates would contact other organizations in which they
are involved regarding a vote for educational funding (please see email
below and attached document for more information).

Please consider discussing the signing of the Google form (see link in
email below) with your organization. Also, if you feel inclined, pass this
information along, and thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
Rachel Smith

Hello ISTE Affiliates,

As many of you may know, unless Congress reaches another deal to raise the
federal spending caps, the ability for it to continue investing in Title
IV-A, which houses the edtech provisions, at its current level of $1.17
billion or higher will be in serious jeopardy. The Title IV-A Coalition
<http://www.titleiva.org/>, which ISTE is a Board member of, has penned a
letter to Congress urging it to pass bipartisan legislation that waives the
Budget Control Act’s FY20 and FY21 spending caps and establishes new
overall spending caps that allow for adequate investments in k-12 education
programs, including the SSAE block grant program.

Attached please see the letter, which we hope your organization can sign
onto by *filling out the form here <https://goo.gl/forms/7Gh7B6SPxMaVzkoi2>
by COB Feb, 22nd*. The letter is final and we will not be taking edits.
This is *an open sign on letter* and we encourage you to also share this
with a wide array of organizations, including national, state, and local
groups and ask them to please lend their support by signing their
organizations onto this letter.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me or Ally
Bernstein (cc’d here).

Best,

Boyka
