Hurray for high school book clubs!  Also for the choice of The Goodbye Days.  Jeff Zentner is a treasure; his new book is coming out very, very soon.  I retired in June and I still miss my book club kids.  I second the recommendation for the state's collection (though fyi, Linda Williams will be retiring).  Since my club kids valued getting to keep their books, I also recommend bookoutlet.com for deep discounts.  The books are "remainders," so you won't see the newest titles, but the selection is great and it's easy to get multiple copies for amazing prices (about $4 for an $18 dollar hardcover).  If you use more traditional book sources, I also recommend writing a Donorschoose grant to fund the purchase; donors love to hear that there really are teens who want to read.

Hi Kathleen,I just borrowed two sets of books from the CT Library System.  They delivered them to the public library in town, and I just have to swing by and pick them up.  They have many sets and titles, and Linda Williams could not be more helpful.  Linda.Williams at ct.gov It's convenient and free!  I hope that helps.Best,Cheryl

Hello!  My students have started a book club recently, they wanted to read current YA novels. I purchased 6 copies of the book Goodbye Days.  I didn't know if anyone one else had similar book clubs at their schools and if anyone would be interested in maybe swapping books so I do not have to keep buying multiple copies. I could start a spreadsheet we could all add to and then just ship to each other, just do not know how we would handle shipping fees. I am just spitballing here so feel free to share any ideas or suggestions!
THANK YOU! Kathleen Currie Smith
