[CASL-L] HS Library Computer Lab - 1-to-1 Chromebooks

Greetings,



We're in our second year of 1:1 with Chromebooks for all students Grades
9-12 (approx. 1,500 kids). Our main library is down to about 13 desktops,
but we still have 2 computer labs attached to the library that contain
about 45 desktops combined.



Our smaller lab is used sparingly and larger lab still gets used, but less
frequently than 3 years ago and earlier. More classes are working on
Chromebooks in their classrooms, and students have the ability to print
from them to the library and one other destination in the school.
Thankfully, this hasn’t negatively impacted the frequency of my co-teaching
:)



There are talks of re-purposing our smaller computer lab and space in the
library where desktops were removed in favor of more flexible,
activity-based spaces for both teachers and students to use. Time will
tell...
