I agree RJ Julia’s program is wonderful!
Something to be aware of, you are locked in to selling the 30 books. I did it three times last year. The first two authors had paperbacks and I easily made the 30 books. The third author had a hardcover book and our school was on the hook for 10 copies (about $200) because our families were not buying them.

R.J. Julia has an Authors to School program. It's free! All you have to do is sell 30 books. Mark Teague is coming to our school on October 15th. The contact is Karen Schumann: kschumann at rjjulia.com<mailto:kschumann at rjjulia.com>
Hope that helps!

Subject: [CASL-L] Authors for a PK-8 school
Good morning!
My son's school - specifically the PTO - is looking to bring in an author. The predicament is that it's a small, PK-8 school. It would be great to find them an author who covers many of the grades, and maybe can run a small writer's workshop with the older students? Any recommendations? I'm a high school librarian - so this is out of my wheelhouse!
Thanks for any help/recommendations!
