[CASL-L] ProQuest Historical Newspapers - Hartford Courant

Good morning everyone,

I replied to Alysson off list. I opened a ticket with ProQuest technical support and we are looking into the issue that she’s experiencing at her school.

I can confirm that the Connecticut State Library continues to provide access to Hartford Courant Historical (1764-1922). You and your users should get directly to a search page without the need to enter a barcode. This is true for the other researchIT CT databases that we provide for schools too.

Please contact me if you use a researchIT CT resource at school and you get the barcode login page – we can fix that!

Did I miss something? Can you no longer access the historical Hartford Courant through Proquest Historical Newspapers off ResearchItCT.org?  It is prompting me to put in a barcode even though I am logged in on a school computer and have access to other databases from this page.
