[CASL-L] virtual library

Does anyone have any experience with Google Meet/Google Hangouts on their Google website? With distance learning, we have updated many resources and are working on getting a virtual library full functioning.  We are trying to get some kind of "chat" function up on our website.
One issue that we are having is with Google Hangouts. On our website, we have a Google Hangouts widget, but since our students are blocked from creating Hangouts, when they click on the widget, they are blocked from sending an invite to initiate a Hangout.
Does anyone know how to set up one-on-one appointments with students using a "Google Meet Hangout" button on the website?  We want them to be able to set-up "virtual" library sessions with us.
Thank you for your ideas, input, and suggestions.
Thanks,

Staff is working on a collection diversity audit, piloting a shelflist reorganization (in Destiny; we will have to do the heavy lifting when we get back) that is a hybrid of genrefying and Dewey for the social sciences, and manually adding records for each of our unlimited simultaneous user license books (Gale and ABC-CLIO) to LibGuides (800 books). Cataloging Combined, this is a monstrous undertaking.
In the meantime, the virtual library is open every period of the day, during which we schedule one-on-one conferences with students as well as welcome drop-ins. Also, we are furiously populating our YouTube channel with new lessons and curating them into organized LibGuides.
We hope to make this one beautiful some day, but right now it is a hot mess.
I composed a useful blog post about this in my head. And I am guessing that is where it will stay as I will have no time to actually write it between now and when it will be irrelevant. Consider this my post.
Stay distanced and healthy!Big virtual hugs, y'all!
