Good morning,
I'm newer to this, so I know there are people with more expertise that can
answer this question, but here are my thoughts. Choose just 1 vendor to
start. That way you can build a sizable collection in one place and
promote it so that students will know where to look, especially if they are
new to the digital format. I inherited a digital collection that was from
3 or 4 different vendors. Each library only had about 10 titles in it, and
they were mainly classics for the English curriculum or nonfiction research
titles. Students never used them because there were too many places to
look and there wasn't anything "fun" to read.
Over the past year I've been trying to focus on growing our Overdrive/Sora
collection. They provide digital MARC records that can be uploaded into
Follett, plus it can link to our public library catalog so students only
need to use one app to find more options. MackinVia is my backup for
titles that Overdrive doesn't have. It's still a struggle to get high
school students to check out anything- no matter what format it's in, but I
just keep promoting our digital collection and hope that being home will
encourage more students to use it.
Hope this helps,
Tenley

*“The best way to measure how much you've grown isn't by inches or the
number of laps you can now run around the track, or even your grade point
average-- though those things are important, to be sure. It's what you've
done with your time, how you've chosen to spend your days, and whom you've
touched this year. That, to me, is the greatest measure of success.” - R.J.
