[CASL-L] Any way to integrate search with Sora and Destiny?

Hi,

I’ve been trying to integrate sora and destiny as well. I see in destiny admin where you can integrate the two, but my rep said they can’t provide integration because I don’t have a paid version of sora? They said I can download them and then upload to destiny.

Those that have integrated the two, do you pay for sora or overdrive?

Our Destiny/Sora are synchronized. That is to say, our Destiny is updated automatically when we get new books in Sora. It happens at the admin level. The "switch" was flipped on a little more than a year ago for us.

We previously manually uploaded Marc records each time we purchased books. I still have the manual records in as duplicates. I have to figure out how to remove them.

I recommend asking your rep about synchronization.

Our MARC records from SORA/Overdrive get added to Destiny so when students do a search every format of a title available shows up. I teach students to do a search in Destiny if they aren't sure what they are looking for, but if they know they want an ebook or audiobook of a specific title, I have them search in Sora:)

We just got Sora in my district and are looking to mostly use that as our ebook and audiobook platform.

I'm curious how you all integrate Destiny and Sora--do you have students search Destiny and Sora separately? Do you know of a way to integrate the two or do you have any tips?
