I'll second Cheryl's recommendation:
We invited Dr. Vankatraman a couple of years ago. Our 7th and 8th graders gave her an enthusiastic reception and her presentation was excellent.

We invited Padma Venkatraman last year, and she was wonderful for our 7th and 8th graders. She's in Rhode Island.

Hi All - I am looking for suggestions for local/local-ish authors who represent a variety of backgrounds and cultures to book for visits next year. I am hopeful we will be able to have in-person visits again, but virtual would be OK as well. All recommendations are welcome!
Thank you!
