Hi All,
Another title that is gender-neutral (it alternates between multiple male
and female perspectives) is *Your House Will Pay* by Steph Cha. It is a
poignant, thought-provoking thriller based on a lesser-known event that
occurred in Los Angeles shortly after the Rodney King beating and before
the L.A. riots. It is engaging, has complex characterization, and it is a
great opportunity to learn more about the origins of racial tension in our
country. Here's a review
<https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/books/story/2019-10-11/steph-cha-your-house-will-pay#:~:text=A%20native%20Angeleno%2C%20Cha%20writes,beating%20of%20motorist%20Rodney%20King.>
with a good plot summary.
Best,
Monica
