We had TurnItIn and it was not used as much as we had hoped. We have made some changes at the district level and our instructional technology coordinator role has expanded. After looking at this question, we have moved over to Google.
I can't comment on the usage, as that is a teacher discretion call. The financial savings was huge.

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone has used Google Originality Reports and Turnitin?
We currently have Turnitin but I'm thinking it might make sense to switch to GOR because I work at a Google Enterprise School. I would love to hear your thoughts!
Thank you!
