[CASL-L] Invitation for 4-8th graders to a virtual hackathon with Random Hacks of Kindness Junior

I would like to take this opportunity to invite your students to
> participate in Random Hacks of Kindness Junor’s  upcoming VIRTUAL hackathon
> scheduled for Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 9-12 EST.   The three hour coding
> program will focus on designing and coding apps addressing the lives of
> homeless animals.

> Foster and Forever Pet Rescue of Naugatuck
> <https://www.fosterandforever.org/> will join Random Hacks of Kindness
> Junior for the event.  Foster and Forever team has worked to develop a
> network of fosters and volunteers who help take care of our homeless pets.
> Together with mentors, participants will have the opportunity to create
> apps that provide tools to help improve the lives of animals in need.

> Using Zoom, students will work in pairs with mentors to create prototype
> smartphone apps (using the online app block programming language, APP LAB
> from Code.org).
