Good morning, everyone.

I warmly encourage you to consider submitting a proposal to present at the CEN Conference on May 5 **in person** at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. The deadline for doing is December 31. Visit the event Web site to learn more at https://www.cvent.com/c/abstracts/8cf6f3a1-20b1-423a-8088-111891684808.

As you think about submitting a proposal, consider one or more of the following topics:

Library

  * Library- grants- hotspots, and how to circulate chrome books (this could be part of best practice)
  * Libraries: Digital Literacy Skills for Adults. Does the average adult have adequate digital literacy skills? This could work with the 4-library grant under community best practice. Focus on senior citizens, this is especially needed when telehealth is becoming more prevalent and using kindle books, etc.
  * Help library patrons learn about cybersecurity.
  * Innovative ways to bring a community together

Technologies that Support Teaching and Learning

  * New Educational Tools and best practices for daily use in the classroom
  * Collaboration using technology for teaching: example Danbury and Ridgefield schools have a book club
  * Ubiquitous learning: learning anywhere, everywhere. Meaningful learning experiences should be at home as well, how do we bridge that gap?
  * Artificial Intelligence and its impact on teaching and learning
  * Immersive learning, VR, can equal the playing field for all students
  * Virtual fieldtrips without VR headsets
  * Assessments and technology that support grading larger classes
  * Leveraging technology to support strategies for social-emotional learning
  * Innovative practices for using technology for early childhood, how is it used appropriately. How can it be leveraged to meet/communicate with parents? Examples: Office of Early Childhood, distributing iPads to families.

Pedagogy

  * Pedagogy before technology, incorporate technology to enhance learning. Strong alignment between curriculum and tech integration.

Professional Development

  * Focus Groups/Community of Practice for professional development
  * Teach Teachers to help students successfully collaborate remotely

Student Focused

  * Incorporate the student voice and choice in how they use the technology
  * Career pathways into technology for students, bring in the vendors from the floor, Career Technical Education (CTE), Workforce Strategic Plan

Accessibility

  * Accessibility for everyone in digital environments

Best,

Doug
