[CASL-L] [EXTERNAL] Re: SLOs for High School

Last year I did a social-emotional goal with 10 seniors I saw regularly for
an AP Research course.

I did a Yale RULER MoodMeter at the start of the year to determine how they
were feeling about their imminent college freshman experience. We read
excerpts from the book *Will This Be on the Test
<https://www.jstor.org/stable/j.ctvc773xz>.* We used those readings to fuel
online class discussions. I talked with students 1:1 (both in person,
virtually, and in online discussions) about their responses to make
suggestions, talk about ideas further, address individual fears, give
information, etc.

We took MoodMeter ratings throughout the year to track changes.

At the end of the year, I just had a general sense of how they were
feeling, not a measurable IAGD. It was a pandemic year so the expectations
for data-driven goals were more lax.
