[CASL-L] Subbing due to lack of coverage

Our district is offering 50.00 each time to certified staff who give up a planning period to cover a class. It is voluntary. We are also now allowed to take 1/4 day off (2 hours) for appts instead of 1/2 or full day.

At the elementary level, related arts teachers in my building are regularly assigned extra coverages in addition to teaching our own class schedules to cover for substitute shortage on any given day. Between last year and this one, I have worn many hats in addition to my own role having covered lunches, recesses, Spanish, PE, art, music, grade level classrooms, etc. It has been challenging to say the least.
