[CASL-L] book recommendation??

Some of Sarah Dessen’s romance books are 4-5th grade level for reading (like The Moon and More )but interest and designed for high school.  My daughter loved her books.

the Twilight by Meyer Reading Series ranges in Lexile ratings from 670 to 720 - is that too high?

I have a couple of female students (11th & 12th grade) who are looking for romance books, but have a very low reading level.  Unfortunatley, JF romance books are also very juvenile in content.  So, looking for someting that would be interesting for an 11th or 12th grader, but at a middle school (or lower) reading level. Any thoughts??  All of our YA romance books are too tough for them to read.
