Dear CT Librarians,

I wanted to remind everyone of a resource you may want to share with
students ahead of the upcoming voting season (coming in April) for the 2022
Nutmeg Book Award. Former CT librarian Christina Carpino created the Nutmeg
Book Drops podcast to promote the nominees at all levels. Please check out
the Librarians Connect website <https://nutmegbookdrops.wixsite.com/podcast>to
listen to and subscribe to the podcasts for each level. You can find some
great book discussions, author interviews, recommended read-alikes, and
more!

Here is a little more info from the "About" page of the website:

"Nutmeg Book Drops is a podcast project created by Christina Carpino.
Librarians across Connecticut have contributed to this endeavor----hence
our publisher name, Librarians ConneCT! The podcasts are separated by age
into four separate listening experiences:

High School Edition discusses the High School Nutmeg Nominees. These titles
are suggested for grades 9-12.

Middle School Edition discusses the Middle School Nominees. These titles
are suggested for grades 7-8.

Intermediate Edition discusses the Intermediate Nominees. These titles are
suggested for grades 4-6.

Elementary Edition discusses the Elementary School Nominees. These titles
are suggested for grades 2-3.

The purpose of these podcasts is to explore the CT Nutmeg nominees in a
book discussion format and encourage students to check out these wonderful
reads (both literally and in an investigative sense---visit any CT library
to pick one up!).

Some podcasts feature interviews with nominated authors who share about
their inspirations, insights, and the themes their novels explore.

Enjoy!
