[CASL-L] Cataloging question for engineering

As I acquire more engineering and robotics books for my elementary library,
I  see that if I stick to their assigned Dewey numbers, they wind up all
over the place.    I am thinking of making a new number in order to shelve
these books together. Has anyone else done that?
