[CASL-L] CLC Membership Question

2 reasons to join immediately come to mind:


  1.   Money
  2.  Community

I regularly save 2-3 times the cost of membership from Demco, for magazine orders, and book orders.  CLC sends out a renewal sheet every year that lets you know exactly how much you save from ordering through their contracted vendors.

When I first started as an LMS, it was CLC sponsored round tables that helped me find my legs and introduced me to the LMS in my area.  Those initial contacts became a core support whenever I had questions.

There are a number of excellent reasons to join, but those are the two most important to me.

I'm happy to take questions off the air.

The Media Specialist and I have been trying to evaluate the benefits of joining the  Connecticut Library Consortium. Can anyone provide us with feedback and information about your experiences with this membership? Also, is it best to join as a school or a district?
