Anna-Marie McLemore is the best known, and probably best, YA author who incorporates magical realism into her stories. (Also LGBTQ+ issues.) She's contributed to several YA short story collections. I don't specifically remember her stories in these collections, but you can take a look if you have access to them:

Good morning,
I had a recent request for a good example of magical realism to share with Gr. 11 students. I can think of a few novels to share, but I am struggling with the format that was requested. The teacher is specifically interested in YA short stories that feature magical realism. I'm sure there might be a few adult audience stories that would fit as well - does anyone have a suggestion that might fit?
Thanks so much in advance!
