Hi Kara and all,

Swank has a movie search tool on their website that will let you know if a movie is covered under the license:

https://www.swank.com/k-12-schools/<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.swank.com/k-12-schools/__;!!K_vE5lA!vkI0wruPG963cP_YuTM1IRE8Nu2GZgY2Wl9xV6vM921c6ODYeT6_3OC9fUFxuOlXJEMwrtwBNCgf91E9Dvpk6n7xI-E$>
The search box is in the upper right corner.

It looks like most – possibly all – of the Marvel/MCU movies are included under the license.

If you have questions, CLC’s Swank contact for K-12 schools is Angelia Dixon Bunch: abunch at movielic.com<mailto:abunch at movielic.com>.

Best,
Christine @ CLC

Subject: [CASL-L] Movie License Question
Good Morning,

I have a question about a Movie License. My school pays for a SWANK license which is a Public Performance Site License that allows public exhibit of moves that fall under certain production studios.

The World Language department is planning a Movie Night. They want to do a Marvel movie. Technically, they are Marvel Productions but Marvel is owned by Disney. Disney is included on the list of publishers in the Swank license. Does that mean Marvel movies are covered and acceptable to show as well?

I'd love to hear your opinions on this.

Thank you!
