[CASL-L] 8th Grade Core Novel

Hi All,
We are looking for titles of what other middle schools are currently doing
as an 8th grade class/core novel.
For years, we used *To Kill a Mockingbird* but are finding more recently,
the complexity and readability of it is not as accessible as we would like,
and we are looking to find a new core novel for 8th grade.
Any titles, or titles that maybe were considered at your school would be
very helpful.
