I organized our K-2 Biography section by type of person as well. Students
didn't have a lot of schema about different people, but they knew they
wanted an inventor or musician.
We have

   - athletes
   - inventors/scientists
   - leaders
   - explorers
   - musicians
   - entertainers
   - authors

To help with shelving, we used these stickers (I had some funding).
Still working out some of the details, but seems to be going well.

Demco® Nonfiction Classification Label Sets - Biography

Demco® Genre Subject Classification Labels - Social Issues
I trimmed off "social issues"

We already had a sports genre sticker, but added these to help students
browse.

Had these already and used for Explorers.
