If you use Follett, it has a "First Chapter Friday" feature where authors read from their own latest books.  Not all authors are the best people to read aloud, but some are quite good.  The clips are also available on Youtube.

 Hello all!
Would anyone like to share favorite passages for First Chapter Fridays? I'm in HS and I read to 9th grade each week. I'll start a doc and anyone interested can add theirs, to whatever level you work with.

Thanks in advance--it's always fun to share with you all!Casey
