[CASL-L] average age of books

Hello All,
Does anyone know where to find the recommended average age of books for our
libraries? In Titlewave (Follett), it tells us that the state minimum- is
25 books per student but I didn't see a recommended average age. Is it on
the ALA site somewhere?
