Your AASL Board of Directors needs YOUR input!

The AASL Board of Directors has been working to develop areas of focus for
the new strategic plan and is seeking feedback from school librarians
across the country. Strategic planning helps to set priorities, focus
energy and resources, and assess and adjust the organization's direction.

The survey will be open from March 1st until April 5th, 2024. You can
access the survey here: Strategic Plan Feedback Form

The survey should take you 10 minutes or less (probably less) to complete,
but the impact will be felt for years to come.

Strategic planning helps to set priorities, focus energy and resources, and
assess and adjust the organization's direction.

The current AASL strategic plan was approved in 2019. Find the details of
this plan at: www.ala.org/aasl/about/govern/strategic-plan

The AASL Board of Directors is seeking feedback from school librarians
across the country, both members and nonmembers, so please share this with
your school librarian friends and colleagues.

Throughout this process, the board kept the mission, vision, and core
values of AASL in mind (www.ala.org/aasl/about/govern).

The core values will be embedded into the key action steps for each of the
goals selected for the strategic plan.

Your invaluable input will help guide the AASL Board to determine the goals
and create key action steps for a two year strategic plan.

In addition to feedback about specific focus areas, we are seeking general
feedback as well, so this is a great time to share your thoughts, ideas,
and questions with the AASL board.

In order to get a direct response to anything you share, you will need to
include your name and email address. But, you can answer 100% anonymously
as well.

questions in order to support AASL's work that will in turn support school
librarians across the country!
