[CASL-L] Seeking book recommendations

Good afternoon,

A teacher in my building is using the book Uprising by Margaret Peterson
Haddix in her class and is seeking a lower reading level (3-4 grade) with
the same setting/theme: New York city, immigrants, factory work - early
1900s.

Any suggestions that pop into your head would be appreciated!
