[CASL-L] Success with book fairs other than Scholastic?

Hello Rachel,

I have been feeling the same way about Scholastic and have decided to go
with Riverbend out of Glastonbury for the fall of 2025 (I also do one in
the fall).  My contact person was Meghan and we have set up dates and
already started to plan for it (the sooner you call them to book your
dates, the better).  I am hoping Riverbend will be a success.  I have a lot
of issues with Scholastic including financial account mess ups, low stock,
old stock, fair consultant availability once you have the fair booked
and/or running (although support was available by phone), not being able to
get middle school reads because I was booked as an "elementary" book fair
(which did not work out for me since I have grades 5 and 6).  I had so many
preschool book options (too young) and not enough middle grade options.  It
took 4 weeks to get my account resolved and get an accurate financial
report from them.  I have been beyond frustrated with Scholastic for the
last few years.  Time for a change for sure.
