*, *a new documentary that highlights the importance of mathematics and
mathematics education by examining its connection to economic and social
power. Mathematics is more than numbers – it is the foundation of
opportunity, democracy, and social equity. The film is an eye-opening
documentary shining a light on the imminent need to understand mathematics
to tackle the significant challenges we face – racial and income
inequality, climate change, and political polarization.

The screening is *Wednesday, March 5, 6:00 – 8:30 pm* at Central and is
hosted by multiple CT math education organizations and institutions of
higher ed. Our goal is to bring together a diverse group of stakeholders to
