This is such a great question.

I asked ChatGPT and it gave me the following. But you are right, the search
URL is super long and looks wrong...

When citing an AI-generated overview from *Google Search's AI
Overviews* in *MLA
format*, students should follow MLA guidelines for citing a *website or an
AI-generated source*.
*Basic MLA Citation Format for AI Overviews in Google Search:*

"Title of Overview (if applicable)." *Google AI Overview*, Google, Date of
access, URL.

*Example Citation (if no title is provided):*

"Overview of Women's Rights in American History." *Google AI Overview*,
Google, 3 Feb. 2025, www.google.com/search?q=women's+rights+history.
