Good afternoon -
I am working on my special project at Southern this semester and am
planning on researching the correlation between book challenges and
diversity, equity, and inclusion in the school library.
I need help with a couple of items:
- I was wondering if anyone knows of where I could find information on
specific book challenges in Connecticut. My goal is to look at recent years
versus previous years in order to show whether more books are being
challenged now that deal with topics that would fall under the heading of
DEI and/or are written by minority authors.
- Is anyone aware of any existing studies done in CT on book challenges
or book bans?
Thank you in advance for your help,
Sarah Robertson
