Hello, colleagues!
If you're going to the AASL conference in October, you'll see a familiar face:  I just got word that I'll be presenting a workshop on using picture book nonfiction in the classroom with middle and high school students (a concept I like to call "sidebars").  And yes, I'm paying the $35 baggage fee to drag along a suitcase filled with 50 pounds of books, to give attendees an authentic hands-on experience, not just a lot of slides. So excited!!  Connecticut, let's represent!
