[CASL-L] Book recommendations

[Musket, Kimberly]

Good morning,
I am searching for suspense/thriller books that meet the following
criteria.
-About a second/early third grade level
-Interesting for an eighth grade boy
-cover that doesn't look ancient or really young

I tried him in a book that's about middle of third grade and it's too
challenging for him.
