I am now at the middle school in my district but we had one at Rockville High School when I was there. We put student last names on student of the month shirts every month and the kids loved it. We also used it for school events...kids could book a time during study hall or after school to make shirts or other items with it.
I recommend the large press iron, but I think the Cricut comes with all the other basic tools you will need. You'll also want a variety of vinyl which can get pricey.

Good Morning,
Does anyone use Cricuit Cutting Machine in their library? What would be your advice for someone looking to purchase one? (model, tools, blades, easy press, vinyl, paper, pens, etc.).
What do you use yours for? Do you think it's a good investment? Any resources you'd recommend (YouTube or Instagram accounts to follow, online trainings)?
Thanks for your help,
Mrs. Jodie D’Alexander
