[CASL-L] author visit recommendation

Hello, everyone!

Yesterday graphic novelist Mat Heagerty <https://www.matheagerty.com/>
visited our school, and he was phenomenal! His talk about learning
differences resonated with students -- so many ran up to him to share their
differences, they stopped him in the hallway to share with him. He was like
a rock star! He also did some creative collaboration work with students and
a creative writing workshop for a small group.

Before the visit, he did a Google Meet interview with an anchor from our
morning news program which we aired before his visit. The morning of the
visit he made a guest appearance on the news broadcast to draw the winner
of a scavenger hunt contest the student council had sponsored to build hype
for his visit.

I highly recommend him. Also, his fee is all inclusive -- no add ons for
travel or accommodations.
