[CASL-L] [EXTERNAL] Re: One book one school successes for PreK-2 or PreK-5

I sent this to Jenny earlier, but here's a reply all! :)

I have done this 4 times and planning our 5th now.
We are a PreK-2 school so choosing a book is a little tricky for us.

Year 1 - The World According to Humphrey
Year 2 - Ranger in Time - Oregon Trail
Year 3 - The Year of Billy Miller
Year 4 - The Trouble With Chickens
This year, we are trying Wildlife Rescue - How to Save an Owl

In Years 1 & 2, we were focused on a series. The Humphrey series is great
because the original ones are more for gr 3-5, but she also has a set of
Humphrey Tiny Tales, which are shorter and more geared towards Gr K-2.

Then in Year 3 we decided to move towards a more author study approach to
include our preschoolers a little more. Year 3 was focused on Kevin Henkes,
last year was Doreen Cronin (and she did a virtual author visit!), and this
year is Kate Messner.

I have tons of ideas and resources for each one if you are interested in
more.
