Hi Jen,

In Norwalk we compared the model policies to our existing policy and
regulations to create our new policies and they have already been presented
and approved. The district admin and board of ed were very supportive of
district Library Media Specialists working on these policies.

Here is the link to the Norwalk Policies. One thing we had to do was break
one policy into 3 distinct policies. If you would like them in our working
doc instead let me know.

6013 - GUIDELINES FOR THE SELECTION OF LIBRARY MATERIALS - Taken the
original now is an intro to all 3

6013A - COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE POLICY

6013B Display and Programming (This is totally new and completely based on
the model policy provided)

6013C Library Material Review and Reconsideration Policy
