I know a WONDERFUL local poet who would come read and speak to your students!

Ginny Connors, she is a retired middle school English teacher who taught here at Sedgwick with me.

Her latest book of poems is brilliant! It is about the Salem Witchcraft Trials and is written as a narrative of first person poems based on research. Can't say enough good things about her and this book. Would be a brilliant companion piece with The Crucible.

She has lots of other published books too...

Hi everyone,

I have a teacher who wants to put together a poetry night in the library.  Has anyone ever hosted such a program and would be willing to give some details as to what activities you had OR does anyone know of a local poet who would be interested in coming and speaking to students?  Any information or feedback is welcomed! Thank you!
