Summer Reading came up in a discussion today. One of my admins asked what other LMS’s “did” for Summer Reading. If you have a moment, would you let me know the following?:

What role do you play in Summer Reading?

Is Summer Reading mandatory?

What is the Summer Reading assignment for students in your school? (Any book, specific book, one book, etc.)

Do you play a role in creating the assignment?

Is Summer Reading assessed? If so, which department or class assesses and/or scores the assignment and in which class does the grade/score  get recorded? (English or another class?)

What happens if a student does not complete Summer Reading or the assignment?

Other thoughts on Summer Reading?
