CALL FOR APPLICATIONS:

NEH Summer Seminars and Institutes

for K-12 educators

 

K-12 teachers:  NEH’s 2018 Summer Programs are now accepting applications to participate in one- to four-week summer study and professional development programs.

NEH Summer Seminars and Institutes provide K-12 educators opportunities to explore topics relevant to K-12 education in the humanities. This summer, NEH grants will support 32 programs across the United States on a wide range of subjects including: Alabama’s civil rights legacy; the impact of the 1918 Spanish Flu on U.S. and world history; Appalachian culture and storytelling; and Roman Daily Life.

 

NEH Summer Seminars and Institutes:

  • focus on the study and teaching of significant texts and other resources;
  • provide models of excellent scholarship and teaching;
  • contribute to the intellectual growth of the participants; and
  • build lasting communities of inquiry.

 

Participation in NEH Summer Seminars and Institutes is tuition-free. Selected participants receive stipends to help cover travel and living expenses.
