As a high school teacher librarian in a district where there have not been lms's in every middle/elementary school for a good 30 years, I know the outcome of this situation all too well:   this move would be disastrous to student learning.

It is obviously a frightening prospect for the staff members, their students, and colleagues; we furthermore wouldn't want to set a precedent for other districts.
