Hello all. Our three year old Makerspace was built from scratch and now is thriving, but at times feels like the students' sandbox. In most cases the space is used as part of a collaborative unit with teachers, but some weeks there can be many students working on a project or simply just 'creating something.' This can lead to issues with how they clean up, burn through supplies, and generally treat the space (which is in a classroom off of the LLC.) Not to mention the poor use of our time scraping glue off counters.

We're working towards having more volunteers, have begun student "LLC Crew" teams, and even began teacher duty this year, which doesn't always align with peak periods. I'd appreciate any space management and usage ideas that come to mind, such as 'earning' usage, monitoring, sign-ups, etc.

Any and all ideas welcome. Happy Holidays and thanks,
Janine
