Hi Torrie,

I as well as many other libraries in my district us this scanner linked below. Works great once you program it. It comes with a paper that you have to scan some barcodes on to get it to work. The company Barcode Discount is also great because their customer support will help you if you have any questions or need help selecting a product. Similar products to this scanner from DEMCO run anywhere from $300-500! They also carry various wireless scanners as well.

Hello all,

I have a barcode scanner on the way out and haven't had to buy a new one in years! I am looking for recommendations of brands/styles you like that are budget friendly, if possible.  Any vendor more reasonable than another? Suggestions on reliable wireless models for scanning during inventory is a plus!

Thanks,
