I have to put a good word in for Google Drawing too. You can customize the page to 8.5 x 11 and have a lot more tools and freedom to create. More like Publisher. But you can only have one drawing at a time.

Not sure what you mean about "getting the boxes to go away" but in LucidPress you can always start with a blank template and build your own simple brochure template. Once you get started with LucidPress and get some practice it is a pretty effective program for building newsletters and other kinds of print and web publications.

Do any of your schools have a section on Financial Literacy (student debt, personal budgets, etc.) and, if so, can you recommend a speaker who could do an hour or so workshop on this topic for my First Year Experience class at Tunxis CC?

 

I would really like to integrate this topic with students fresh out of high school who may not have had preparation on tracking their student debt, expenses, taxes, etc.
