I haven't needed to remove the boxes before, but it appears they are in the background and it's easy to do: http://nimb.ws/3gnexj

I love LucidPress. Sometimes I give it as an alternative to the students who want something fancier and will put in the extra work it takes to learn and use.

Not sure what you mean about "getting the boxes to go away" but in LucidPress you can always start with a blank template and build your own simple brochure template. Once you get started with LucidPress and get some practice it is a pretty effective program for building newsletters and other kinds of print and web publications.

That is the one I used!  But I could not get the boxes to go away so I did a copy & paste all into  a new Slides (resized accordingly) so they would go away.  If you know another way please tell me!

Yes, Slides is a good option. The teacher could also introduce LucidPress. There is a free version and a paid version that allows full integration with Google.

Hi everyone,
A teacher here is planning a project where she'd like her students to create a brochure using Google Drive/Docs.
I'm not aware of a template in there that would let you create a brochure such as with MS Publisher.
I took a quick look in Google Docs, but didn't see that sort of template.
They could do something with creating tables in a Google Doc, but I was wondering if there were another easier way to do this.
Thanks,
Chris Barlow
